Many gamers thought the Wii’s motion controls would make a perfect control scheme for a sequel to Luigi’s Mansion. Then, others thought the Wii’s New Play Control! series would surely bring back a motion controlled version of the original GameCube gem Luigi’s Mansion. Now, it seems as likely that the Big N is working on a sequel. A recent trademark filing for Luigi’s Mansion has surfaced.
Naturally, Nintendo initially filed the trademark with the release of the GC title, so why re-file it now? It’s clear Nintendo plans on breathing new life into the Luigi’s solo outing. Whether a NPC! title or a full fledged sequel is yet to be determined.
