Thanks to the most recent issue of Nintendo Power, we now have some more information about the upcoming revival of NBA JAM. The game will feature two modes, consisting of a Classic Campaign mode and a Remix Tour. The classic mode will features the same great 2 vs 2 action as the original arcade classic.  The only rules for this mode are a shot clock and goal tending.  The second mode, Remix Tour, will change the rules, core mechanics and camera changes., with more specifics coming soon.

The game will also feature new dunks and new moves, such as a spin move to evade shoving.  Each character in the game will have actual photograph captures for their faces, with different facial expressions appearing throughout the game. According to NP, they look hilarious with 2D heads featured on 3D bodies.

NBA JAM will hold an option of motion controls, or holding the Wii remote sideways. And last but not least, here’s what you can expect to see in the game:

• Fire
• Shattering Backboards
• Cheats
• Flashing Shoes
• Flashing Balls
• Big Head Mode
• Legends (presumably favorite characters from the past)
• Playable Mascots
• Secret Characters
