Word of a mysterious new (possibly 2D) Sonic title in the works had been announced a few months back, but SEGA is finally ready to break the silence. The company announced that over the next few weeks, they’ll finally be answering some questions about their next title, codenamed Project Needlemouse. Day 1 of their reveal starts today, with the potential character roster.
The above image features a list of over 10 characters that may be featured as playable characters in the game. Each day during this week until Friday, the image will be updated with rejected stamps over the characters that won’t make the cut; I guess meaning a final 6 or 7 characters will be playable after all is said and done. In order to make all this happen, SEGA will be asking old-school trivia questions to fans on one of their websites. Once a certain undisclosed amount of fans answer the questions correctly, SEGA will knock another fake character name off the list.
Last but not least SEGA will give a special bonus to those who respond if results go above and beyond their expected number for that day. After three bonus points are earned, a special gift will be given this Friday.
While I love contests, I’m still hoping for a screenshot sooner than later! Below is the trivia question schedule for you to answer the posted trivia questions.
