One of the most anticipated titles for Wii owners the first half of 2010 is no doubt Red Steel 2. With its cell-shaded look, and MotionPlus implementation, the game promises to go above and beyond the disappointment brought with the original, a Wii launch title. Courtesey of Famitsu, new details about the development of Red Steel 2 has been given.
Apparently, the game is nearly 95% complete, with about 90% complete including debugging. The game will also offer duel gun wielding at some point in your adventure. It’s hinted that this move might be more of an upgrade that you can “purchase” with money earned within the game.
The look of the game was inspired by different films, such as Seven Samurai and The Good, the Bad and the Weird. They also went with the cell-shaded look because it complimented the use of MotionPlus. Lastly, the game will consist of 40 different enemies, from bosses to different clans. Now that we’ve passed the 2010 threshold, there’s just a couple short months until the game releases.
