Spending $50+ on a video game can be hard for some folks. Likewise, upgrading each year to the latest title in your favorite annual EA series may not always be practical. Unfortunately, it’s going to be mandatory if you want that online experience.
EA has decided to shut down servers on several of their biggest titles, from the past few years. And to the chagrin of many, some of these titles include 2009 editions. The measure is done when popularity of titles lessen, in an effort to cut costs. Although this is unfortunate for anyone who currently plays these older titles, it’ll be good for you to finally upgrade from your dusty copy of Madden 07. The various game’s online modes will be fully functional until February 2nd.
