Remember when the Apple App Store used to have games? Well it still does, but more “practical” applications have been rearing their heads as of late. One of those is H1N1 Map, an application designed to display outbreaks in and around your area. The map accurately tracks if outbreaks or fatalities are found near you, your friends or anywhere across the country.
I’m sure there could be debate as to whether an app like this is helpful or hurtful. “Shoot, Jimmy’s neighbors got the H1N1, might want to steer clear of that!” After all, there’s nothing like a little fear compressed into mobile application form to really provide some fun this holiday season.
The H1N1 Map app is currently free on iTunes (goes back to $2.99 tomorrow), and also available for Android devices.
