I’m a fan of all of the video game related ornaments that have been coming out recently. I’m particularly fond of the one above, even if it’s impossible to get ahold of and based on a character from a yet-unreleased game. The other day, a tweet came in from KDV Games, makers of the upcoming DS title, CandyGeist, showing off this adorable felt creation. I poked at them a little bit to find out that this is just a one-off for now, made by the lead programmer’s wife and headed for a company tree. They are planning to make more, and even suggested that they may be available for purchase one of these days, which I would certainly like to see. CandyGeist looks to be the sort of game that could attract a devoted cult following, with its bizarre theme and cute pixel art – classy merch like felt ghosts seems like a perfect fit for the title.
