Some of you probably remember the original Kane & Lynch. Not because you played it, mind you, but because the controversy it generated over the relationship between Gamespot reviewer Jeff Gerstmann’s poor score of the game, the Kane & Lynch advertising campaign purchased at Gamespot at the time, and the reviewer’s subsequent firing.
In a nod to the controversy (as well as other less than impressive scores, which the kerfuffle drew much attention to), the press release for Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days starts out with “Love them or hate them, they’re back!” Well, I neither love nor hate them (never got a chance to play the game) but they are certainly back, and to mark the occasion, there is a new (low resolution) trailer.
