Nintendo may still have to give us Americans more info beyond “they’re on the way,” but thankfully we’ve got Amazon.com to leak media and release windows. The online retailer has updated the listings for the upcoming North American releases of Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver with localized box art. It’s all English-y and stuff.
Furthermore, the page indicates that we’ll be revisiting Johto come the Ides of March – that is, March 14, 2010. Obviously, we won’t know for sure until Nintendo actually announces a release date, but given that March 14 falls on a Sunday this coming year – common for Pokémon release dates – there could be substance to this listing. After all, that is the final box art.
I generally do like the boxes, and the fact that they actually have backgrounds this time around. Though is anyone else bothered by how asymmetrical the HeartGold box seems to be? Or is it just me?
