Well, unless your favorite controller happens to be an Atari CX40 of course – but I’ll let that one slide. Etsy seller useyourdigits has created a set of laser-cut acrylic holiday ornaments in the image of seven classic video game controllers – that of the NES, the Genesis, the Playstation, the Dreamcast, the Gamecube, the Xbox, and the Wii. Aside from the aforementioned glaring omission of the Atari joystick, there are other questionable decisions – if it were me in charge, there’d be a full tree worth including the Intellivision’s troublesome keypad, the SNES controller, and the Zapper. Unfortunately, as is the case with most beautiful Etsy creations that end up on BoingBoing, the ornaments are currently sold out. Thankfully, useyourdigits is having more cut and hopes to have them back in stock in about a week. Until then, I’ll just have to settle for tying an NES Advantage around the top of my tree.
