Geez this is just a day for Mirror’s Edge news. First that Direct2Drive deal, then the Mirror’s Edge iPhone announcement, and now this!
This would not be the first time some news had leaked through a production member’s resume. Oscar Carlén, senior lighting artist at DICE, had “Mirror’s Edge 2” listed on his online portfolio as late as yesterday. It has since been removed.
This would also not be the first hint on Mirror’s Edge 2‘s existence. It was confirmed back in June that a “small team” of people working on it, despite the perceived risk due to Mirror’s Edge‘s low sales. But in light of EA’s recent layoffs (said to be 1500 employees), its possible that the game did exist, but does no longer.
So far there is no confirmation either way but we will update you should EA make a statement.
