No motion control for No More Heroes: Heroes’ Paradise
Given the No More Heroes‘ popularity for its masterful use of the Nintendo Wii Remote, this news comes as a surprise. The XBOX 360 and PS3 ports of No More Heroes, entitled No More Heroes: Heroes’ Paradise, will not be featuring any motion control! Marvelous Entertainment head Yasuhiro Wada said in an interview with Edge Online that since the move to high def was in the interest of a wider audience, they will not be utilizing any new fangled doo-dads like Sony or Microsoft’s upcoming motion controls:
Well, since the concept for the remake is to bring the game to a wider audience, we aren’t currently considering to use uncommon new technology. Basically everything will be controlled using the analog controller. We are reworking the control scheme to improve the sense of being in the game.
Reworking or no, it’d be very difficult to recreate some of those finish moves with buttons and an analog stick. Between this, and Ubisoft’s decision to pass on distributing the game outside of Japan, the news on this port is getting worse and worse.
