I guess as far as Left 4 Dead is concerned, there’s no such thing as too much too soon! Some skeptics criticized Left 4 Dead 2 as being “too soon” after the release of the original to generate much interest or revenue, but damn they were wrong! In a mere two weeks Left 4 Dead 2, no doubt helped by their aggressive multimillion dollar ad campaign, has sold 2 million copies. And that doesn’t even include Steam sales!

“Left 4 Dead 2 is off to a great start with strong support at retail and great reviews from the press,” said Doug Lombardi, VP of marketing at Valve. “Meanwhile the title has already been played by over 1 million Xbox LIVE Gold account holders, and news regarding L4D2 DLC 1 is coming very soon.”

Ah, you hear that folks? DLC coming soon! How have y’all been enjoying Left 4 Dead 2? I’ve been bogged down buying/playing other games, but I plan to buy two PC copies of L4D2 this Christmas, so my sister and I can play together. ‘Cause nothing in our house says love, family, and Christmas tradition quite like the zombie apocalypse.
