If you were guessing that the recently leaked deets on Project Natal were too good to be true, you were right.

A recent report, which surfaced on UK site MCV, stated that Project Natal would launch in November 2010 for the low low price of $80.  The information is said to come from some “behind close doors” tours of various UK developers and studios by Microsoft. And according to the big M themselves, it is false false false. When asked by GI.biz (at a European launch event for XBOX 360’s autumn update), Xbox UK honcho Neil Thompson said of the rumors:

“No. They weren’t accurate, they were rumours. I’ve got nothing more to say about it…We’re still very much in the baking on Natal and there’s a lot of things to get decided on it.”

And there you have it. They’re still “baking” on Natal (I didn’t know it doubled as an oven!) and we were all wrong. Next!
