Nintendo mistakenly sends Club Nintendo Metroid email

CN Email

It appears Nintendo might have their records a bit mixed up.

Today I received an email from Nintendo thanking me for my purchase of Metroid Prime Trilogy. Except I didn’t purchase it. Then it asked me to make sure I went to Club Nintendo to fill out the feedback survey to redeem my CN coins. When accessing Club Nintendo directly, there’s no mention of the game in my list of registered titles, nor do I have any surveys available to take on the title.

Anyone else mistakenly receive this email?

UPDATE: Nintendo apparently is aware of the issue as they’ve sent out an apology email:

“Dear Nintendo Customer,

It has come to our attention that you may have mistakenly
received an email thanking you for registering a copy of
Metroid Prime: Trilogy at Club Nintendo even though you have
not registered that game.  We apologize for any
inconvenience or confusion such email may have caused you.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support of
Nintendo.

Sincerely,

NINTENDO OF AMERICA INC.
Consumer Service Department”

I did. I am completely confused. Has anyone heard anything from Nintendo on the matter?

Shame they couldn’t have sent me a copy of the game, lol.
