In a move that only seemed natural given the competition’s similar stance, Sony will soon add Facebook to the PS3. Accessible via an icon from the main hub, not much else is known about the service and if there will be any in game usage.

Images of the Facebook icon were initially leaked on the official PlayStation website in the UK, and discovered by Scrawlfx, but were removed. A source however confirmed to Eurogamer that the service is indeed coming and an announcement will be made “very shortly.”

Also coming with this update is a color changing option for your gamercard (w00t) and a updated way to view your photos.
