First glimpse at new DSi LL colors

Wow, what was it I just said the other day? That no matter what Nintendo says about the new DSi, don’t believe ‘em? Not even a day passed since their non denial before they put out the official press release for the new 4.2″ DSi LL. I am the champion, my friends. Or just, you know. Not retarded.

Anyway, here are the new colors, dark brown and wine (and of course, classic white). I’d almost be surprised at their decision in hues…but then, rumor has it that Nintendo made these with the older, reading-glasses crowd in mind (is that a stylus or a battering ram?) i guess old folks aren’t exactly into Day Glo and zebra stripes. ‘Sides what could better than matching your DSi LL to your wine cellar, right? …Right?

    Okay, wait. It comes with the big ole baton, and a normal stylus? Do they both fit into the device somehow, or is the pen stylus just one of those things you’re supposed to lose within the first week?

    Regardless, if these come stateside and in the same colors, I’m suckering my significant other into getting the brown one.

    That is a really good question, actually. There was no mention of an extra slot.

    I don’t mind the new colors at all, I actually wear far too much brown, but I think I prefer the wine one.

    I’m digging the brown, but at the same time I’m still waiting for a nice shade of Green to hit any version of the DS

    Well, there IS a nice shimmery lime green DS lite that came out around last Mother’s Day. It was beautiful.
