This is a gorgeous bit of art that really captures the atmosphere the series all but literally drips, in my opinion. Now when are Nintendo and Namco going to start talking about the upcoming new game again? Still no Game Boy emulation on the DSi, making <I>Metroid II</I> the only game in the series that you can't play on modern hardware (either Wii or DS Lite). With Konami remaking the old Game Boy game <I>Castlevania: the Adventure</I> for WiiWare and no new 2-D Metroid game in sight, I'd kill for an enhanced remake of <I>Metroid II</I> on DSiWare, say 1000 points. And it would have the added bonus of making Steve Jobs cry! Other than <I>Xtreme Beach Volleyball</I> or <I>Grand Theft Auto</I>, Samus is probably the only woman in gaming that actually dresses in appropriate attire for her job and her surroundings.
