A rumor has surfaced that Nvidia has won a contract to supply Nintendo with a chip to be used for the next version of their DS handheld. It’s been reported that news outlet BSN received word that the Tegra chip, which is currently being used in Microsoft’s Zune HD, is set to power the new DS.
With already three versions on the market, it’s likely that Nintendo is looking to build upon the popular DS line of handhelds. After all, they do sell faster than the McRib.
The new DS is said to be announced in late 2010.
