Ah, um, er... a remake of the epic, involved, four-stage-long Game Boy game, that didn't even include classic Castlevania stair-climbing. Of all the things they could be giving a remake to...

Are they planning on combining it with its sequel to give it some heft? Will they give Chistopher Belmont leaden shoes to make sure he has the requisite slow movement speed, especially in the ever-tricky third stage?

The second or third NES game, those are games worth remaking. This, this is from the Bad Old Days when publishers were still making "X: The Portable Version," half-hearted copies of console games that weren't worth playing were it not that you were obviously away from your NES. We're not talking Super Mario Land 2 or Gargoyle's Quest here.

Remake Motorcross Maniacs instead. Seriously, from that era the only Konami/"Ultra" games I can think of are this, Operation C and Nemesis, and none of them were particularly good. Even an old, small game like Gradius got watered down. There were no good handheld Castlevanias before the GBA.
