Mario Party’s success has led to an absurd number of minigame collections on Nintendo platforms, all hoping to get a piece of the pie. The Wii is all set to get its next collection, 101-in-1 Party Megamix by Nordcurrent, by the end of this month. The title is a proper sequel to, not a port of, the generally ill-reviewed DS minigame collection 101-in-1 Explosive Megamix. The game is, as expected, a collection of 101 minigames, most of which need to be unlocked. Additionally, the games will be split up and framed as television channels, a paradigm that worked well for Beavis and Butt-Head on the Genesis. 101-in-1 Party Megamix launches in Europe on Oct. 30, for £29.99.
The Wii Gets A Party Megamix In The Run Up To Christmas
Nordcurrent set to release 101-in-1 Party Megamix Wii in October
Monday, October 12th 2009: Nordcurrent, the European publisher of hit DS title 101-in-1 Explosive Megamix, have announced the news that Wii party game fans have been waiting for; 101-in-1 Party Megamix Wii is to be released in the UK on the 30th October 2009, priced at £29.99.
101-in-1 Party Megamix Wii is an entirely new game from the makers of the hit DS title. This isn’t simply a port of the original hit on the DS, it’s an entirely new collection of brand new games that play perfectly to the Wii’s strength – multi-player fun.
In a new twist to the 101 format, the huge library of mini-games that can be played (and unlocked) are divided across eight in-game TV channels, each with their own host and identity. These channels offer even more variety to the gameplay, and make 101-in-1 Party Megamix Wii absolutely fantastic value for money, with each game costing only 30p!!
From mind-bending logic puzzles through sports-themed challenges to tests of physical agility and fast-paced ‘twitch’ shooters and racers, 101-in-1 Party Megamix Wii is packed with a staggering amount of gameplay. It’s the perfect family entertainment for when the winter nights close in. When the weather turns colder the entire family can gather together around their Wii and enjoy some light-hearted gaming fun.
Just like the DS version, 101-in-1 Party Megamix Wii delivers family fun and action in a fantastic value package. Wii party game fans will be spoilt for choice when it comes to picking their favourite mini-game.
101-in-1 Party Megamix Wii will be available for the Nintendo Wii on the 30th October 2009 from all good games retail outlets.
