Pokemon fans are some of the most intense out there. There’s no doubt Nintendo anticipated immense demand for Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver, which launches Saturday in Japan. Surely, they’ve sent out immense supplies to retailers in preparation. According to retailers, it might not be enough.
Early reports are saying that most if not all of the initial shipments’ supply has been accounted for through pre-orders. Expect to see long lines on Friday night, but don’t be surprised to see a few disappointed kids with tears in their eyes, either. For those of you in the hunt, you might have slightly better luck finding a copy of HeartGold, since Lugia’s appearance on the box art seems to be making SoulSilver the more popular of the two.
