Modern Warfare coming to Wii

November 10 is no longer just the release date for Infinity Ward’s Modern Warfare 2, as a port of the ever-so-popular and ever-so-awesome Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will also set sail that day for the Wii. Yup, you read that right, the original Modern Warfare is riding shotgun (pun intended) with its brother this Winter.

While it is sad that the new iteration isn’t coming to Wii (yet), I’m sure players won’t complain about the critically acclaimed title making an appearance. On a side note, the porting is being done by Treyarch, the studio behind last holiday’s World at War and many other Call of Duty games. Take that as you will.

Wait wait wait.. they’re releasing not one but two war-themed games the day before November 11? Will they be handing out free poppies and copies of “In Flanders Fields” with each pre-order?

Stay classy! There’s still time to release your latest flight simulator on September 10!
