Remember a while back when someone had an idea about how Mirror’s Edge would be if it was a Wii game? Apparently, EA had the same idea. At one point, they asked Backbone Entertainment (who you may remember from countless mediocre ports of various games for the PS3 and Xbox 360) to create a short demo of a Wii version of the game. It doesn’t look like anything ever came of it, but two pieces of concept art for the project have appeared. It looks like the Wii version would have been even more stylized than the main version of the game. In fact, a portable version of the game was also pitched for the DS and PSP, possibly based on the awesome 2D Flash game.
Something may come of this some day, but as of now, no plans have been announced to continue with any of these projects.
