Japans version of the Nintendo Channel got an update today. The most obvious new feature is the sleek new interface, but there are other changes as well. Nintendo specifically mentions five of them:
- A new user vote-centric ranking system
- Ability to make recommendations for DS games
- Ability to switch between high and low quality videos
- Ability to save game information to a favorites list
- Viewable play records of games you’ve played or recommended
There’s no word on a possible update for other regions’ Nintendo Channels, but it could happen. Let’s hope, because the introductory video on Nintendo’s Japanese website makes it look pretty cool.
