Yes, the man that asked you to join the Nintendo Fun Club more than two decades ago is the very first Platinum reward for Club Nintendo in North America. He can be yours to pummel into a puddle of bloody goo for the low low price of free, plus $600 worth of Nintendo games.
If you’re a Gold member, you don’t really have a choice. You get a 2010 Nintendo calendar. Nintendo is claiming that these rewards will ship by November 1st, which is kind of far off. What reward will you be claiming?
