Remember last week when that Professor Layton Twitter account appeared and started tweeting riddles? Apparently, they’re not officially from Nintendo of America. Things got a little suspicious when he was joined by @ApprenticeLuke (Luke), @SombreInspector (Inspector Chelmey), @DonofScience (Don Paolo), and even @CuriousHeiress (Flora).
This isn’t to say that they’re definitely not official in some capacity, as they could be by Nintend of Europe or Level 5. Whoever is running them, they’re fun to follow. Layton is still tweeting daily riddles and there was even some drama over the last few days involving a kidnapping. Just don’t take anything they say as official Layton news.
UPDATE: The man behind the Layton Twitter has come clean. His name is Roger DiLuigi and he claims to be a game journalist. On top of that, the other characters (besides Flora) are played by other people entirely. It seems that the Layton, Luke, and Flora Twitter accounts won’t be updated any more. It’s currently unclear if Chelmey and Paolo will continue to be updated.
