Hey all, just saw a preview for the June 5th episode of The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien, and judging from the fact that Conan was walking in front of his backdrop with the above art superimposed, I’m guessing he’ll be addressing the “coincidence.” I’ll be taping the bit, but unless NBC actually posts a video of the monologue, I doubt I’ll be able to post it… NBC’s picky about their shows getting posted online. I suggest you check it out at 11:35ET on NBC!

EDIT: Came on about 10 minutes in. The Tonight Show animated the entire background, Conan hopped a few times to Mario’s jumping sound, and then Conan made fun of LaBamba for looking like he came out of Super Mario Bros. Conan suggested LaBamba “sue the Super Mario Bros. people” for stealing his image. Ironic?
