E3 2009: New Classic Controller spotted at show

Some E3 attendees noticed the new design for the Wii’s Classic Controller out on the show floor. The new model, Classic Controller Pro, is similar to the old controller but has grips added on at the bottom. This new design doesn’t change the functionality of the controller, but might make playing classic games more comfortable. What are your thoughts on this? Does this change appeal to you?

The grips would probably help with using the controller for N64 games, but I’m already happy with the WaveBird.

What I’d really like, though, is to be able to re-map buttons, like Y to B and B to A on NES games.

Ya, I don’t think it’s that big of a deal, however, I do think it is a nice thing. It can be quite uncomfortable at times, and it would make it feel a lot nicer. It would be worth it if you’re someone with 50 VC games, as I’ve seen some people like that.
