At last year’s Nintendo Round Table, we essentially got a confirmation that the development teams at Nintendo were hard at work on new Super Mario, Zelda, and Pikmin games. We got a smothering of Mario yesterday, and art was shown for the next console Zelda game. But what about Pikmin? Stephen Totilo asked the big guy himself why there’s no sign of the little critters at E3.
“I’m sorry. Unfortunately we haven’t been able to expand the team size very much, because we’ve been working on so many different games that we’ve shown off at the show. So the team is working very hard, but it’s a bit of a small team.”
Small team, eh? Totilo went ahead and asked if the team was at least larger than two people. Miyamoto laughed and responded.
“Of course.”
*phew* Good to hear.
