E3 2009: Red Steel 2 to come bundled with Wii MotionPlus

One of the biggest mistakes both hardware manufacturers and software designers can make during the lifetime of a game console is to release a new, non-standard peripheral into the market, have games created that are completely dependent on said peripheral, and expect that consumers are smart enough to buy everything that’s necessary.

Luckily, both Nintendo and Ubisoft are smarter than that. Nintendo’s planning to bundle the Wii MotionPlus accessory with the undeniably irresistible Wii Sports: Resort, while we “hardcore” gamers will be given a second option by picking up the Red Steel 2. It was revealed during the press conference today that all copies of Red Steel 2 will be bundled with the Wii MotionPlus at launch, for our convenience and to eliminate confusion. Good move, Ubisoft. Good move.
