Despite canceling the GameCube port of Klonoa 2, Namco Bandai could still have Klonoa 3 for the Wii in its future. The original was remade for the Wii and released earlier this month, and if it develops an appropriate fanbase, creator Hideo Yoshizawa might just get a green light from his company for another. He was interviewed for the most recent issue of Nintendo Power.
Nintendo Power: You’ve mentioned in previous interviews that you would love to work on a brand new Klonoa some day. Do you really have some ideas in mind for Klonoa 3?
Hideo Yoshizawa: I’m always thinking about the scenario and new gameplay ideas, but it all depends on the sales of the new Wii game, so I can’t say anything derivative.
You know why there’s poor third party support for the Wii? Because we aren’t going out and buying more of the good third party games! Go on, Klonoa is calling to you!
