High Voltage’s second new Wii game revealed: The Grinder

zzz

As promised, High Voltage Software revealed yet another Wii game last night: The Grinder, an FPS focusing on co-op multiplayer. There are four different playable characters, a team of monster hunters, each with their own distinct personality and skill set. Sound familiar? It’s definitely inspired by last year’s Left 4 Dead. As opposed to zombies, The Grinder will feature all sorts of mythical creaturs, like werewolves and vampires. And… probably zombies.

The game will feature online multiplayer, of course, but also local split screen multiplayer. (You may remember reading that local multiplayer will be missing from High Voltage’s first Wii outing, The Conduit, which is due out next month.) Expect to get the most out of your various Wii peripherals, too. The Grinder will feature both WiiSpeak and MotionPlus support. (One of the characters is a Japanese assassin, after all, and her sword wouldn’t be much fun without the MotionPlus.)

Excited yet? Well, pace yourself. The Grinder isn’t expected on store shelves until the holiday season next year.
