Where’s Kris (from Pokemon Crystal)?? New scans from CoroCoro show off a brand new female lead for Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver, and it seems that she’ll play the same role that May and Dawn had for the third and fourth generations, respectively (i.e., your playable character if you are female, or a major supporting character in the story if you are male). Like Kris, the new girl’s pigtails have a tendency to defy gravity.

For those of you that I heard like Mudkips, a few screens in the scans confirm that your starter Pokemon will walk behind you during your adventure. You might also take notice of the page featuring Ho-Oh – there’s a screenshot showing off an in-game, shiny Pichu. Connection to the Pichu event for the 12th movie, perhaps?
