The official Japanese Pokemon site has confirmed what we’ve been speculating for a little while now. Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver, DS remakes of Pokemon Gold and Silver, are real. They’re set for release later this year, the 10th anniversary of their original releases. No North American release has been announced yet, but you can pretty much count on it.
Aside from those few details, there’s not much else to say about Heart Gold and Soul Silver at this point. There will likely be some new features to make it more like Pokemon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum, but nothing specific has been mentioned. Check back for more information as it becomes available.
