Muramasa: The Demon Blade loses North American publisher, finds another

Less than a day after Xseed announced it wouldn’t be localizing Muramasa: The Demon Blade, Ignition Entertainment has announced that they have acquired exclusive publishing rights to the game in North America. Unfortunately, it looks like this change of publishers will knock the games North American release back from its previously planned summer date to September. Well, just be glad we’re getting such a pretty game at all. Muramasa: The Demon Blade is by Vanillaware, the studio behind the amazingly gorgeous Odin Sphere for the PS2, and it shows.

If you’re looking at Ignition’s recent Lux Pain and hoping Muramasa doesn’t suffer from a similarly shoddy localization, Ignition wants to put your fears to rest. They’ve promised to be more careful with Muramasa.

Good news because I’ve been looking forward to this game since Odin Sphere came out.
