On April 5th, Japan will be treated to the premiere of a recut version of Dragon Ball Z, called Dragon Ball Kai. Dragon Ball Kai trims a lot of the terrible filler than managed to stretch the series to 500+ episodes. But this isn’t an anime news site. Here, we talk about video games.
Also launching in April (again, in Japan) is Dragon Ball Kai: Saiyan Raishuu, a spiffy new DS RPG from Namco Bandai. The game appears to be based on the Saiyan Saga. The player controls Goku and co. in battles using three characters at a time. Other characters are left in reserve and can be switched out mid-battle.
There’s no news regarding a North American release, but those lucky Japanese will be able to play it on April 29th.
