Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles sequel gnaws on your head

Famitsu has ruined the surprise and revealed Resident Evil: The Darksie Chronicles, a follow-up to the Resident Evil rail-shooter retelling Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles. Gameplay will be similar to Umbrella Chronicles with a few tweaks. For one, if you’re playing single player, your partner will appear on the screen instead of hiding behind you. There will also be a sliding difficulty level that changes depending on how well you’re performing. It will, of course, have Zapper support.

The Darkside Chronicles stars Leon and Claire from Resident Evil 2, and will predictably begin with scenarios based on Resident Evil 2. It has also been hinted that there will be stages based on Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil: Code Veronica, which are the other games that Leon and Claire star in.

There’s no release date set for The Darkside Chronicles. The game is reportedly about 35% done.

    Ugh, I want a ground-up Resident Evil sequel, not a Wii-make.

RE: UC was good but I want something fresher.

I wouldn’t really call it a remake, but yeah, a standard Resident Evil game would be perfect for Wii. Resident Evil 5 should have been a Wii game.
