Remember when the Beatles game wasn’t going to be a Rock Band game? Remember when there wasn’t even going to be a new Rock Band this year? All lies. MTV Games has released some details regarding The Beatles: Rock Band. Predictably, spiffy new instrument controllers will be released along with the game, modeled after the instruments used by the Beatles themselves. The game will come bundled with these instruments, but of course, it will also be available on its own. It has been confirmed to be compatible with all currently existing Rock Band and Guitar Hero instruments. As for pricing, the game alone will be $60, the new guitar controller will be $100, and the “Limited Edition Premium Bundle” (assumed to be the game will a complete set of instruments) will go for $250.

The Beatles: Rock Band is set for release on September 9th.
