The latest Famitsu reveals a brand new Harvest Moon game for DSi. Taking a step away from the series’ original farming roots, Harvest Moon Series: Ranch Store will focus on shop management rather than watering crops and molesting chickens. There will be a variety of types of stores to choose from depending on what your farm produces, including a Juice Shop, an Ice Cream Parlor, and an Easter Egg Store. Apparently they couldn’t think of anything more practical to do with eggs.
Your shop will be visited by NPC customers (including guest appearances by various Harvest Moon characters) who place orders that you fill by playing minigames. Do well at the minigames and you’ll be more likely to have repeat customers.
Harvest Moon Series: Ranch Store will hit WiiWare on April 28th for 1500 Nintendo Points. No announcement has been made regarding an international release.
