The Conduit won’t have local multiplayer, Animales de la Muerte won’t have a WiiWare release

For reasons known only to High Voltage Software, Sega, Nintendo, and possibly Pauchi Kamui, the Ainu god of insanity, The Conduit will lack local multiplayer. High Voltage Chief Creative Officer Eric Nofsinger announced at the New York Comic Convention today that there will be no split screen multiplayer, and because Nintendo won’t allow it, no LAN multiplayer. It was hinted that local multiplayer would likely be included in a hypothetical sequel, in case that somehow makes you feel better. A release date has been set for June 9th.

In other High Voltage Software news, Animales de la Muerte, which was announced ages ago for WiiWare, is still in development but has been put on hold. Since the game relies heavily on a large number of audio files for its comedic theme, it is no longer planned for a WiiWare release at all because of size restrictions, and will be given a retail release instead.
