Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings to include classic Indy point-and-click adventure

atlantis

Gamers who buy the Wii version of the upcoming Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings are going to get a nice little unlockable bonus. Point-and-click classic Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis. Fate of Atlantis is widely regarded as one of the best point-and-click PC adventure games of the 90s when point-and-click adventure games were all the rage.

This little bonus is exclusive to the Wii version of Staff of Kings, as is the ability to control Indy’s whip with the Wii remote. It looks like the Wii version will be the definitive version of the game. (Nobody tell LucasArts about ScummVM.)

Man, with this and Punch-Out!!, this is going to be awesome! I just don’t hope it doesn’t turn out like The Force Unleashed… Well, it wasn’t that bad.

The Force Unleashed was pretty meh, but it was worse on the Wii because the Wii version was just part of their “let’s put it on everything” approach to development. The real version of The Force Unleashed is the PS360 version. At least this game is being developed for the Wii first and foremost. :P

Yah, that’s good. Well, at least it’s still fun. (But I can’t find where the heck that game engine is in a effect. You know that one where “everything breaks like it should in real life”? I can’t seem to notice it.
