Sega has a new WiiWare game in the works that looks and plays like a NES game. Eventful Journey! Pole’s Big Adventure is different from the current retro style trend that’s devouring gaming, though. Pole’s Big Adventure is largely a parody of games of old, and Super Mario Bros. in particular. Enter a pipe and come out covered in black goo. Eat a mushroom and grow like Hank Pym until you’re crushed under your own weight. Marvel at the creepy “realistic” in-game character portrait of the main character. (Ok, maybe that never happened in Super Mario Bros.. You get the point.)
Keep your fingers crossed for a North American release.
