Phantasy Star Zero, the DS incarnation of Sega’s classic standard-RPG-turned-MMO, is leaving Japan. This month’s Nintendo Power features a cover story about a North American version of the game and Sega has issued a press release confirming a European version as well.
Phantasy Star Zero features gameplay mechanics similar to those of the Phantasy Star Online series, and is in fact a handheld MMO. Prefer to play single player? Don’t worry, there’s also an offline single player mode. Phantasy Star Zero is due out in North America this winter. No European release window has been announced yet.
