Remember when Nintendo sued Nyko because their wireless Nunchuck was too similar to the official Nintendo nunchuck? Nyko is prepared this time, with their Wii “Wand” third party Wii controller. It looks similar to the Wii Remote, but only in the same way Mickey Rourke looks “similar” to Charlize Theron. They’re both more-or-less human-looking, but one will never be mistaken for the other.
The Wand beats the Wii Remote in one aspect, though. Button functionality can be transferred to special attachments, so instead of a Wii Zapper having a trigger near the B button, the trigger on Nyko’s new gun peripheral, for example, actually replaces the B button on the Wand.
