Platinum Games has announced a brand new logo for 2009. The new logo features characters from all of Platinum Games’ 2009 projects, including MadWorld, Infinite Space, and Bayonetta. It’s definitely much shinier than their old logo, as they explain in one of their many blogs.

While it may be hard to pick up from the image, the grey portions of the image are actually a special color known as Platinum Silver, and the color changes slightly depending on how light hits it. We also used a special printing process on the logo to make it seem like the mark was shining off the page.

I prefer to take this as a metaphor for how polished their games always are.
