Fragile panel speaks at Namco Bandai conference
Looking for more Fragile info? It seems that three key members of the development team (Producer Kentarou Kawashima, Art Director Keiko Harada, and Main Programmer Munehito Yasui) sat down at a conference recently to share their thoughts on the development of the game. Some interesting key points came out the session, listed below.
- Fragile has been in development for about 2 years, and has become an expensive project over time.
- Original game would have been set in the winter (it’s now in the summer), and the main character would have been a Treasure Hunter, shown above.
- Yasui didn’t like the battle system early on, and initially suggested a game consisting entirely of ruins exploration.
- The game will take 30 hours to beat, time which Kawashima sees as precious to the gamer. He intends to make it memorable.
- A ton of work has gone into atmospheric and environmental sounds – the developers visited real locations to experience sounds for themeselves.
