Adam Baron takes DS Lite on a “Game Break”

I love when video games merge with other types of art forms. Matt is obviously into the video arts. I myself am a strong advocate for video game music as an art form. Adam Baron happens to be into photography and Photoshop.

Adam’s work above is titled “Game Break,” and it’s a direct homage to Maxfield Parrish’s “Daybreak,” painted in 1922. It goes without saying that I wasn’t familiar with Parrish’s work before, but thanks to a gaming connection and cultured people such as Adam, I now know a little something.

You can click the image above for a larger view of Adam’s work, or see Parrish’s original “Daybreak” painting by clicking here.

[UPDATE: the above work was apparently not a painting, but rather created entirely with photography and Photoshop. Thanks, Adam!]
