North American WiiWare/Virtual Console update for December 29th, 2008

It’s the very last North American Wii Shopping Channel update of the whole year. It brings a tear to your eye, doesn’t it?

WiiWare

MaBoShi’s Arcade™ (Nintendo, 1-3 players, Rated E for Everyone, 800 Wii Points): This is actually one of the highest rated WiiWare games outside of North America. It’s nice that we finally get a chance to play this unique arcade game. This game actually allows you to download a portable version to your DS to play on the go. Why don’t Virtual Console games do this?

Cue Sports – Pool Revolution (Hudson Entertainment, 1-4 players, Rated E for Everyone, 500 Wii Points): It’s more Wii billiards. There are a bunch of different modes, most notably a puzzle mode. You can choose to control the game with the Wii Remote (like in Wii Play) or using buttons like in pool games of yore. As far as 500 point games go, this one seems pretty meaty.

Virtual Console

Zoda’s Revenge™: StarTropics II™ (NES™, 1 player, Rated E for Everyone-Mild Cartoon Violence, 500 Wii Points): It’s StarTropics with less awkwardness and soggy stationary, and more palindromes and Tetriminoes. Just what the doctor ordered.
