Remember when Super Mario 64 DS‘s existence led everyone to believe that Nintendo would simply port the best of the best on the N64 over? Yeah, that didn’t happen, so it’s been up to the case mod community to create a true, portable N64. SifuF, over at the Ben Heck forums, managed to take the N64 board, essentially fold it in half, and create one of the smallest portable N64s yet.
The mod uses a PSOne monitor, mixes and matches buttons and joysticks from the Nintendo 64 and GameCube, and is too small to contain any internal batteries or battery compartment, but it’s small and it works. Back when I was a Sega fan, I would have taken this over the Nomad any day.
